Versace as a puppy at his original home in Finland..looking for the future in Canada!

Versace on the way home to Nova Scotia after long tiring trip from Finland
When Melanie Conrad first time over a year or so contacted me by an e mail, I could not first know
how serious she was with her thought to get a puppy from me. We needed an e mail after another between
us to get to know each other better and to be comfortable enough with this plan to export
a puppy from us to such a distant country as Canada. One thing among others I asked about was
what were Melanie's
expectations about different looking English Springer's possibilities there in Canadian show rings. One question was the undocked tail
and the possibilities to win any ribbon with such wagging there happily. After few more questions
my biggest worry was then where would Versace be living. In a big kennel building or as a companion in
the house with people. I heard he will be in house spending normal doggy life with people and dog fellows.
Little by little I did get more and more convincied about Melanie's dreams and serious purposes to make all the best she could
for this little charming puppy and for his being healthy and happy, and also for her serious decision and trust to be able to make
a little piece of history with this dog, to make him a Canadian Champion, sooner or later as she told me but that she will do it, one day..
I was little doubtful though, as knowing he will be a little different compared to others over there with his outlooks,
as he is Scandinavian bred having mainly classic UK lines in his background.
But, I thought that so far as Melanie will be happy with him, it will be not that important if he
fails to get any title there far away, even though he looked so promising that would probably easily finish
his Ch title in Finland.
At summer time it was not that easy at all to put any puppy on its long way, as flight companies had their
restrictions for hot weather times. So, the route was probably the most expensive, but Melanie wanted
only the very best and most comfortable for this puppy, other things were not so significant, so I really begun to feel that puppy will
be cared for like a little prince..and he really has been!!
Already first match shows with little Versace were giving happy news as he usually won in those already as a little
puppy. Somehow I remember that when Versace was about 5-6 months old Melanie told that she is sure she can finish
Versace Champion title..she was talking about it might need at least a year or more.
So the first reports from his official show really amazed me, when he won already in first show weekend 4 champion points!
Doubtful Finn like me thought of course that it though cant continue that winning way all time..but it really did!
Versace finished his Canadian Champion title at only 9 months age, as undefeated ESS dog and with his long tail wagging free! Way to go Melanie and Versace! You have done such a great job together, believing in your dreams and making them true! I as a breeder have enjoyed all truly about your lovely news over the big pond and wishing you all the best
for the future too and will be allways grateful for that our little sweet charming puppy boy has
been so much appreciated and beloved.
