I had got the luck to buy Ruusu's aka Rosie's mother Adamant's Eye Appeal back from Norway, after she had produced two very nice litters to kennel Inu-goya and had a remarkable show career there winning 4 CCs in her first 4 shows.

'Ada' gained during her first year in Finland the title Top Show ESS 2002 and after that it was time for maternal duties. First she was mated to Strathnaver Barley wine: no puppies. Second time she was mated to Adamant's Le Petit Prince: one puppy boy. Next time I choosed Hippopotamus, and when it became time to deliver it was day before my birthday she begun..and got quickly two boys. She behaved and looked like it was all over now, and so I fell asleep, disappointed when the desired girl from Ada was again just a dream. I waked up next morning to see how the boys are doing..but there it was: my best birthday present called 'Rosie'!It was self evident that she will stay with us, after all waiting and hopes.

She actually looked quite ugly, when she was 7 weeks, and in Junior class age she really was quite ugly,,and was not much shown at all that time. But suddenly after 2 years age she begun to get full bloom! Her show career was excellent, she easily won CCs and CACIBs needed to Int Ch title, and she won Group-1 and BIS-4 all breeds too. She was best bitch in Spaniel Club Main Specialty under Ray Smith. And she did nice career as veteran too, winning still BOS under Mr Boothroyd, UK.

But Rosie was created to take care of pups,,better mother to puppies I can not imagine. And her daughters have had the same skills. And she really produced quality, so many winners, so many Champions, so many real stars including Top Show ESS Finland from 1995-2003, and Top Show ESS Norway 2003. Her grand children..hard to count how many champions there are; how many real stars there are..and how really much impact they have had alltogether in Scandinavian ESS breeding. To name one of her grand children: Multi Ch, Multi Winner Whisborne Angus Og, whose impact in Scandinavian ESS breeding is great,,one of Angus Og's sons to name Barecho Fun For The Future..and yet another grandson of Rosie Adamant's Golden Boy etc etc. Will also mention Whisborne Angus Og's dam, Adamant's Special Colours, daughter of Rosie, who has produced 9 champions at kennel Whisborne and has had a great impact indeed in Whisborne breeding programme during past 7 years. Special Colours and dam Rose d'Amore have both been great brood bitches both two.

will be hard to break here

Rosie did not only produce winning show ESS, but also excellent tracking dogs; two of her chidren are tracking champions and many other have got the same abilities. Her puppies usually have had great hunting abilities too and some have even got prizes in hunting tests.
Rosie herself loved not only her puppies but to play,,with balls, toys, everything, and her progeny is known as 'ball addicts' too.

Rosie was really one worth to wait!
