Kennel Club's "Top Show Dog 2008" competition is over.
Most winning English Springer Spaniel in this Kennel Club's Top Show Dog list was amazingly our 'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See,
despite of her maternal duties this year!! She was also #3 from FCI 8 Group breeds. In this Top Show Dog competition it is counted 8 best results
from All Breed National/International shows Group + BIS placements Because of the nice placement on the Top Dog list Sophie got an invitation to Champion of Champions gala show in January
She was placed also 3. in Springer Club's Top Ess list this year. She picked 9 more BOB wins, 2 more BIG wins to her credit along the year and many BIG placements, CACIBs, and was made up to Swe& Norwegian Show Champion, one special top moment was when she took her last Swedish CC in World winner show just 77 days after her litter was born.
Thank you all who have made another successfull year for our breeding job with your Adamant's Springers!
We must still count a bit more what was achieved during the year but it will be around 36 x Best of Breed, around 40 CC s to 11 different A dogs,
around 20 CACIBs etc. Without active onwers of our bred this had not been possible, so we send sincere thanks to everyone who have been part of this!!
Congratulations to all Adamant's ESS owners, whose Springers have placed well in TOP Show ESS list in top 20.
so congratulations go to A. La Dolce Vita (Top Bitch), A. Let Me See, A. So Far So Good, A. Ivor Novello, A. Lucky Strike, A. Take Your Dream, A. Take Your Dance, A. Let 'em Talk!

New Champions: South African Champion A. Rumours No More, Fin Ch Int Ch Est & Est Obed Ch A. Ivor Novello, Fin Ch A. Sweet Fantasy, N & Swe Sh Ch A. Let Me See, Fin Ch A. Let 'em Talk, Fin Ch A. Take It Easy

6-7.12.08 we had a nice trip to Sweden, to traditional 'Stora Stockhlom' International show. Kari Granaas Hansen ('Carillo' kennel) from Norway judged males and Monica Dreijer ('Nobhill' kennel) from Sweden judged bitches. 'Zeta' Adamant's Lucky Strike was on very lively show mood and nearly too wild to handle, but he did manage to win CC and was placed 2. best male! This was his 2. swedish trip and 2. CC in Sweden. I, like usually in Stockholm, managed AGAIN to forget to go in to ring in time with sister 'Sophie'...but she did not mind and showed ok even if rushed into ring on last minute. In best bitch competition she was on fantastic show mood and it was a pleasure just to follow there behind her while she was 'flying' around so happy and so proud of herself..so she kept her 3. place that she had got in Champion class and ended as 3. best bitch! Also 'Fairy' Adamant's So Far So Good showed her best out in big breed ring and so did 'Pamela' in open class, where she was placed 3. with CC quality. This was our breeder class, that went nicely to win Best of Breed breedersclass with a lovely critique:
"Breedersclass of really high quality, consists of 2 combinations, individs are very alike each other in type, all have excellent heads, expressions and excellent coonstructions and they are moving very well with lovely temperament. All look like they are stamped in same form. Congratualtions to excellent breeding presentation! As all dogs were in such a top show mood, and we have shown only 3 times breedersclass in Stockholm in past 32 years,
we all were looking much forward to show the group in big final ring, but so was it not meant to be and we did not get the chance to our disappointment to go there Thank you all the breedersgroup making all your best for it!
"Sophie's" (Adamant's Let Me See) Critique from Stockholm International show (by breed specialist Monica Dreijer):
"Flott vällinjerad ch tik av högsta kvalitet.
Mkt vackert huvud och uttryck. Vacker hals o överlinje. utmärk kropp ben och
tassar. Välvinklad muskulös bakställ. Utm ben och tassar
Rör sig med härlig resning, långa lättä rörelser. Utm. pälskvalitet.
välpresenterad."
'Gloria' Adamant's Gloria Swanson is soon 8 months old. Looking forward to shows in Junior class next year.
Her brother 'Armas' Adamant's Harrison Ford was BOB puppy last weekend in Independence Day show in Tampere, congratulations to Jenina!
News and pics from our great Stockholm trip will come later.

I usually forget all birthdays..but today when I got a text message saying congratulations to our Sophie, I did notice that our fabulous L-litter has today it's 3. years birthday! So we did have some party with Sophie, her mum Saara, daughter Gloria, husband Henry + kind of 'aunt' Frida. As Sophie is perhaps the most greedy person in the wolrd, we thought she doesnt mind if we dont make a special 'dog cake' but a normal birthday cake. I was not wrong..she loved it!! Even those decoration Apricots were tasty! Click the link under if you want to see more of mummy's spoilt ratten's party pics. Huge congratulations to all L puppies: 'Sawanne' La Dolce Vita, *zeta' Lucky Strike, 'Pamela' Let 'em Talk and also one in France..

Weekend 23-24.11.08
While I was gone judging, some Adamant girls had a great day in traditional Jyväskylä International all breed show.
'Pamela' Adamant's Let 'em Talk participated in her 5. show this year, resulting to her 4. Best of Breed win this year!!! She took one more CACIB to her credit, and it was CACIB #16 this year to our fabulous L-litter..Sophie, Pamela, Sawanne, Zeta! Quite a litter.
'Fairy' Adamant's So Far So Good was 2. best bitch with her 9. CC!! and she took res CACIB as well. Junior 'Ilona' Adamant's Birthday Party
won junior bitches and was placed as 4. best bitch and she won also Royal Canin BOB Junior! Well done to all!!!
I thought my weekend will be easier as normal, as I did not need to do all that hard job when showing dogs..but it was not that easy though!
On the way back home just before departure it was told that the flight will be delayed because of snow storm in Finland..and it did become many other
delays in differents points of return trip, so finally at 4.00 am I was at home and ready to sleep at 4.30! Talk about 'lovely' Mondays at job after relaxing weekends around dear hobby..
Sophie's babies are now soon 7 months old. Here is a picture of one of them, "Gloria", taken last weekend. Gloria's big idol is mum Sophie;
she tries to make everything just like Sophie does, and she is really clever in that, they seem to be all time in same position doings same things, mainly playing with each others, and when one drops down, there is quickly two sleeping springer girls curled as close as possible each other totally identically, fun to watch our 'twins' like we call them, even if their coats are different.
We had another really successful show weekend, 1-2.11.08, but while we wait hopefully some pics too, here comes first some pics (UPDATED 9.11.08)of some future promises from our B litter (Mompesson Royal Destiny- Adamant's World Premiere)
B litter puppies developing
We have also got nice news from New Design kennel, as their Henry son New Design's X-ample For You (6 months) has begun his show career winning Best in Show in Match Show! Weekend 1-2.11.08 Henry daughter Hightide's Yolanda Adams was BOS puppy in Lahti puppyshow and siblings Wildomar's Hit it Big and Wildomar's HardLikeARock won BOB / BOS puppy wins in Helsinki puppyshow and 'Hilda' Hit it Big won later BIG-3. Congratulations and good luck to the future!

Weekend 1-2-11.08
Another successfull weekend around!!
The highlight of the successfull Adamant's show weekend was perhaps the young baby Gloria's (Adamant's Gloria Swanson) most perfect performance uin
Turku all breed puppy show (around 450 puppies entered). Gloria really enjoyed her day and charmed judges one by one, and went all the way from BOB to BIG and finally BIS-4!!! Her attitude to show her movements was just lovely already in breed ring and she had now understood from her show lessons, that the longer you go, the better you have to go as competition gets more exciting. Breed judge was Outi Piisi-Putta, Group judge Pekka Teini and BIS judge Kari Salminen. Gloria's critique was: "Beautifully developed excellent balanced overall impression. Beautiful feminine head, good neck. Excellent angulations. Well developed ribcage. Beautiful topline. Moves with good carriage and excellent length of step. Nice temperament. Really promising".
"The old stars" did well too. Mother 'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See went to win her 25. BOB in Lahti Group show under Harri Lehkonen. Later she was placed
BIG-2. 'Wiljami' Adamant's Take It Easy was first time shown in champion class and he won males and was BOS! Unfortunately not any BOB/BOS pic taken
from this show, so I add one from August when they were BOB/BOS in International show too. 'Fairy' Adamant's So far So Good was 3. best bitch and took her
8. CC! Young 'Bella' Adamant's Perfect Look won junior bitches with exc. I had to cut the show day from beginning leaving puppy Gloria at home and we did not mind to show our BOB breeder class in big ring because of my broken back.
Sophie's 'Sawanne' sister Adamant's La Dolce Vita took again BOB in another show, Kajaani Group show where Marjo Jaakkola judged the breed. Later
Sawanne was shortcut in BIG final but not placed (combined 7/8 group). 'Lady' Adamant's Take This Dance was 2. best bitch and took her last CC, now needs just field test to finish her Ch title. Also 'Eku' Adamant's take Your Dream was close to finish his Ch title, he was 3. best male with res CC.
Old 11 years old 'Tessu' Adamant's Damask Rose was BOB veteran and Adamant's was BOB breeder. Congratulations to all and lots of thanks for showing A breeders group!

Weekend 25-26.10.08
Great news come from Estonia, where our 'Henry's (A Take Your Hopes) daughter has won her first Best of Breed in official classes! Alfalex High Fashion Queen, 10 months old, went to win her mother and all and was BOB, took Junior CC, and so did also
her brother Alfalex Heartville's Harry, who took males Junior CC and was 2. best male. Warm congratulations to breeder Riin Remma!
There are some other Henry pup news too, as in Germany Adamant's Birthday Boy has done his official debut and took Junior CC.
In Seinäjoki Int. show, where Slovenian judge (B Kavcic) judged, Henry son Hightide's You're The Top won BOB puppy.
Congratulations to all! Sophie Adamant's Let Me see won again best bitch with one more CACIB (#16).
So far she has won 24 x BOB, 32 x CC, 6 x BOS, 4 x BIS, 2 x BIS-2, 8 x BIG-1 and will be 3 years in December and has already had he first litter there between all winning!
Sophie's only brother, "Zeta" Adamant's Lucky Strike was first time out after his successfull Kuopio weekend, and got
now reserv CACIB, when CACIB and BOB went to Linmoor Your Majesty.

Pamelas critique: "Beautiful feminine bitch. Lovely balanced all through. In excellent coat & condition. Covers the ground super. Well worthy of her title." Christina Daniels, "Mistily's"
We had an absolutely super day 19.10.08!!!!
Speniel Club's annual main show and Norwegain Kennel club's INternational all breed Tromso show were both held 19.10.08. Per Iversen judged ESS in Norway, Christina Daniels 'Mistily's kennel' judged ESS in Spaniel club show, and Henric Fryckstrand, ´Dewmist' Goldens ,judged Best of Group in Tromso.
Week before the show weekend the atmosphere was not perhaps best possible, as we noticed we had somehow missed a couple of entries on males side...after having recovered a little of this 'shock' became a couple of more bad news, for excample that Sawanne's ess friend in a family decided to give some help with grooming...and made a totally new 'fashion' cut on Sawanne's ears, nearly all hair was gone..but like kind of fashion saying says "here you go with what you have got" and so we did!! When I got the Sawanne haircut message, I begun to think perhaps we would have needed though 'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See here in Specialty, instead of sending her to the Norwegian International kennel club show!
Still on the show day one more bad new was that when we only had 3 A males then left in entries, one could not arrive as car was broken on the way! I had put all my energy then on 'Wiljami' Adamant's Take It Easy, whose owners kindly were driving him to me day before; he was in great muscle condition, completely fit and just needed to get his coat shining and
the show mood on top, and it all worked with the co operation better than well: Wiljami won Dog CC, became a new Champion and was BOS!!! Later on he was BIS from BOS winning dogs under Mr Rui Concalves, Portugal. Wiljami is VERY sparely shown (this was his 6. official show! and 4. CC!), as the bigger star with earlier development in this litter used to be his brother Henry Adamant's Take Your Hopes,
but as of now it starts to look like 'the ugly duckling' of the litter has improved all the time better and better, when Henry
still can wait his further development to gain back such a lovely balance, that Wiljami has got now.
Our happy Sophie puppies did really well, as 'Armas' Adamant's Harrison Ford was Best male puppy with honour prize, and 'Gloria' Adamant's Gloria Swanson, who showed in the breed ring herself so happily and proudly, full of energy, won the minor puppy girls, and sister 'Helmi' Adamant's Greta Garbo was 2. with hp. Later Gloria won also all best girl puppy and went to win even BOB puppy, when Armas with his ever wagging tail was BOS. Unfortunately Gloria's tail disappeared in the final ring on critical moments
of choosing who will be the Best puppy in Show and she had to be then BIS-2, of which we are very proud, especially when BIS puppy judge
was breed specialist from UK, mr Gareth Lawler.
'Fairy' Adamant's So far So Good did not like this show hall at all, and wanted just get out of this show, showing her her lovely ESS movements in most restricted way she can (!!), and she got exc2. Sawanne was exc3 in Open class, 'Bella' Adamant's Perfect Look exc2 in junior class, 'Ilona' Adamant's Birthday Party was Exc3, and then it was still Champion class left and there stood the winner of the day: 'Pamela' Adamant's Let 'Em talk', who is now really in full bloom after her litter and looked better than ever and was showing like a dream (with loose lead!!) carrying herself like a queen around the ring, it was so lovely to watch how beautifully co owner Antti showed her to perfection, and so Pamela won BOB and later
took honourable BIS-3 placement in BIS final under mrs Maria Ceccarelli, Italy. Our breedersclass was BOB and BIS-3, also under mrs Ceccarelli. After all this excitement and lovely wins while I was packing everything to car, I suddenly got a text message telling 'Sophie' had won Group-1 in Norway under mr Henric Fryckstrand in stone hard competition!!! That really was the crown of one unforgettable day! Thank you everyone for a lovely day and help etc..feels now a little bit sad to know ESS will be not part of this traditional show anymore next year!
Special thanks to Sanna Vartiainen for taking our Sophie to Norway and showing her there to BOB, CC and CACIB wins, and then thanks to Eija Pahtakari, who showed Sophie in BIG final, as Sanna had there her winning am cocker (GROUP-3).
Another Adamant's Summer Fantasy daughter was also shown in Tromso, 'Saana' Adamant's Sweet Fantasy, who took BB-2, res CACIB, that can be changed by FCI to CACIB, cause Sophie's CACIB saldo is so full..congratualtions!!!
By the way, last year winners in Spaniel Specialty under Mr Bob Jackson, UK, 'Mompesson', were out of same combinations like winners of this year, as Wiljami's brother 'Henry' Adamant's Take Your Hopes took BOB, BIS-3, and 'Pamela's' and 'Sophie's sister 'Sawanne' was BOS and BIS-BOS!!! so there was not much change actually on the winner results!

"Vellu" Adamant's Ivor Novello after winning The Obedience Championship of Spaniels 2008
"Vellu" Adamant's Ivor Novello and his owner and trainer Hanna Hyypiä have been in action again.
They participated 5.10. in Spaniel Club's Obedience Championship of the Year 2008 competition and Vellu
was loaded his batteries just perfect: not too much, nor too little (hmmm, wondering if the last alternative has ever happened??!) Vellu gained fantastic points in Special winner class, 315,5 out of 320 possible and took also
Spaniel Obedience Cahmpionship 2008 title along with Springer Club's Championship title already earlier.
Huge congratulations, really well done!!!
Vellu visited also Sweden a week ago. Little bit different rules in another country makes things more difficult and so does
the boring boat trip...Vellu had had plenty of energy, too much to make his best and so it was soooooooooo close but so far
to get his Swedish Obed champion title, just few silly points; never mind he was 2. best in test of Special winner class dogs anyway and there is still plenty of time to make another plan to visit!

Weekend 20-21.9.08 was a sunny and beautiful autumn weekend.
It was 4 Adamant's ESS entered to Hyvinkää Group show, where Saija Juutilainen judged 26 ESS.
Unfortunately when I waked at morning, I noticed Henry had got a water tail after having escaped to
take an extra bath in cold water late night. So we drove there without him and took the little Gloria
instead to see how things go in a show. Mother Sophie Adamant's Let Me See, who had been BIS in this same show
2 years in row(!!) found her winner from own team: young lovely Fairy Adamant's So far So Good went to beat her in best bitch and won even BOB and was later in Group under Ligita Zake BIG-3! Junior Adamant's Perfect look was
2. after Fairy in same class with excellent critique.
Next day it was held a puppy show in a beautiful dancing place area in Orivesi. All entered 5 ESS puppies were sired
by our Henry Adamant's Take Your Hopes, judge was Kirsi Nieminen. Four puppies got honour prizes, our little Gloria included.
BOB and BIG-2 went to Hightide's Yolanda Adams and brother Hightide's You're The Top took the BOS.
Hightide's breeders group went nicely BIS, congratulations!
Lovely to watch all these puppies full of happiness and energy

When I had a lazy weekend just playing with puppies and Gloria, 4,5 months, who now got some idea about
how to run in a show lead, excellent news were coming from active Adamant's ESS owners!
Hanna was in action with 'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello again and what a great dog with great results
in all sports!! First he went with great eager through the Agility test, doing pure results with no faults
and with a great time, and was placed as 3. best in this class out of 35!! He now needs only one
result of this kind to go in to upper class.
Next day he participated in Obedience Championship competition of The Year 2008 0f Springer Club, and he
was in best of mood and made a wonderful job with gaining maximum 10 points from all parts except two!!!
Super boy really, so he won the Champion of The Year title and gained Special winner class 1. prize. Huge congratulations to Hanna, you do a great job woth your awesome boy!!
The beauty called 'Fairy' Adamant's So far So Goodwas shown in Porvoo All breed show under judge Matti Tuominen, Fin. Fairy had now managed to put her extra kilo down and looked even better and went to win another Best of Breed again! In freezing cold
weather Nina managed to keep her warm enough for Group finals and in great competition under Swedish judge Hans Rosenberg she managed to pick up placement 4. Best of Group!!! Huge congratulations to Nina and Fairy!!
We also have taken a new pic of 'Pamela' Adamant's Let 'em Talk who now after her puppies looks better than ever, see pic below. And one more pic from Gloria's training lesson.

We had a nice sunny day in Helsinki Mastery Show 7.9.08.
Ann-Christine Johansson from Sweden judged 26 ESS. Adamant's Take It Easy and Adamant's Perfect Look were
3. in best dog/bitch classes and got Res CCs, and Sophie Adamant's Let Me See continued her winning ways
in top show mood & condition and took one more BOB to her credit! In this show BOB ESS was given the Jaakko Puolakkainen ("Skyway") Memory Trophy.

..and there has been pretty good celebrations here and there when 'Take' puppies have celebrated their
'adulthood' age, 2 years. This picture is from the home of birth of all, Windy's home, where also 'Wiljami' Adamant's Take It Easy lives and then their mentally 'spaniel like' hound friends, Apollo and Apu. Windy is mother of alltogether 18 boys, 2 girls in two litters.
When all 5 'Take' puppies, who have been shown, have got their CC s easily and now only needs the last ticket from open class after 2 year birthday, there is still at least one 'unwritten page', a boy called 'Nuka' who is little bit thinking of packing his show bag as well, and we got this picture from him a couple of weeks ago,.. so why not to try...!
We had not heard for a while from 'Lasse' Adamant's Take That Chance (in Poland), but
also this Windy's boy from her first litter's nine boys has continued his show career after junior class wins and Polish Junior Ch title very well. He was in June in Krakova International all breed show Best of Breed, CC, CACIB and finally BIG-3!! under Peter Studenik (CZ). He took another CC, BOB, BIG-3 in June 2008 too, in Racibórz.
under Bo¿ena Banasiewicz. Congratulations to all concerned!!!
And huge congratulations to all TEN 'Take' puppies, who are today 1.9.08 2 years old!!!
'Take' puppies have taken quite a lot wins in shows, as our Henry has 11 x CC, 2 x CACIB, Wiljami has 3 x CC, 1 x CACIB,
Eku has 5 x CC, Lady has 5 x CC and Lasse has at least 2 x CC + 5 x Jun CC, several BOBs and BIG placements, CACIB..to be continued!!

"Vellu" International Champion (after FCI confirm.), Fin & Est Ch ESTW-08 Fin & ESt Obedience Champion, BH Adamant's Ivor Novello has begun his new hunting hobby most great way!!
When summer is turning towards autumn time, some springers of the Adamant team have gone to forest to
test their abilities as hunting/tracking dogs. So far all have been really successful there, too!!
'Myntha' Adamant's Be My Dream went to Norway to take part in tracking tets and finished there her Norwegian Tracking Champion title, so now she is Finnish & Norwegian Trackin Champion, huge congrats to Johanna and Daniel!!!
"Nina" Adamant's Show Me Heaven participated in another field trial test and she got great 1. prize with super good points, as from all parts except rabbit retrieve, she took max points and from rabbit retreive just one point missing out of maximum points!! together points were 246, huge congratulations to owner Miloslava Siskova!!!
"Vellu" Adamant's Ivor Novello who is excellent dog in everything what he tries, tried now hunting and was
in a test for retrieving bird from water. He passed it with flying colours and maximum points, huge congratulations to Hanna!
"Viivi" Adamant's Wild And Free gained 2. and 3. prizes in one weekend in field trial tests with her owner Erkki Aro, huge congratulations!!
