'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See got the result of her hip x ray from Kennelclub and as expected she also has best possible
A-A hips, making it #14 in row A hips of our bred ESS. Two more x rays wait in Kennel club for answers; they did look super good hips as well, so we hope they will also be read as A-A like expected; that would make it # 15 and # 16 A hips in row for our breeding.

'Frida' finished her another wonderful year nicely in Lithuania with Sanna Vartianen, with whom she really seems to like travel and has gained alltogether some 5 titles on those trips, thank you for each!!
She had performed happily both days and on Sunday took Best of Breed and 3. Best of Group!!, BOB #45 to her credit and gained Ltu Ch and finished so Balt Ch title as well. Breed judge was Rune Fagerström, Finland.

Since Swedish and Finnish Winner shows were held this year at same weekend, we did not have enough energy to go to Swedish winner show, and no Swedish visitors in ESS ring Finland either. But at least Hanna Hyypiä was having enough energy to travel from Finnish show directly to Swedish one, and her 'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello did a really nice job in ring and was 2. best Junior male with certificate quality 'CK'! Well done Hanna with Vellu, judge for males was Hilda Parkinson from UK and Vellu's critique was
"Upstanding dog. pleasing head. Good neck and shoulder. Good bone. Excellent condition. Moves well."

Finnish Winner -06 International All Breed show was held weekend 9-10.12.06
It is allways such an excited feeling to go to this prestigious great show! Judge for ESS this year was Matti Tuominen, Finland.
It was a nice big ring for ESS, enough room to run..and we did run a lot, since judge wanted to see lots of movements.
'Poju' Adamant's Golden Boy who will soon be 10 years old, was still the male #1, and he won Best Male and Winner-06 title to his credit!!! Huge congratulations to Saila and thanks for letting me show Poju in best male; boy did he run like in Specialty BIS a couple years ago when he took BIS there...
He continued to main ring later, and among huge amount of great competitors managed to take great placement as
3. BEST VETERAN IN SHOW!!! Judge there was Canadian, John Reeve-Newson.
Moses With Touch Holy Moses was back in ring after a little break with showing and enjoyed his day and won 3. best male placement + reserv CACIB.

Then it was time to take our girls in ring. First the sweet 12 months old 'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See, who seems never disappoint her mum, but is allways showing like a dreamgirl with her..so she went to win Junior class taking the Finnish Junior Winner-06 to her credit. Sophies sister 'Pamela' Adamant's Let 'em Talk took also nice placement 4. in this class with Excellent.
'Siiri' Adamant's Sweet Dreams was shown by Veera in working class, and took nicely Exc1. even if not any competitors in that class.
Then 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free won champion class with exc1 and it was time to best bitch class. After a little bit running we noticed, that we are there alone with 'Frida', handled so well by Antti Hokkanen, and the little 'Sophie' handled by mum. Sophie was showing to perfection, even standing still 'forever', but for her 'unluck' also her best friend 'Frida' was on her very best show mood...so it became a thrill between these two, lots of more running and standing and finally the judge decided let the older one in her full bloom win! So Sophie had to be 2. best bitch, taking her 4. CC and Frida took one more Finnish Winner, now W-06 title + CACIB to her credit, but got a real 'storm warning' for becoming years shows from Sophie, who is now on the way to get her lovely coat back, that she loosed totally in November.
Then it was once again the situation in BOB ring, that there were those two, Poju and Frida competing with each other...Frida being half younger had still much of energy to run still some more (even if the handler not any more that much..), and she took the Best of Breed rosette, if I dont rememebr wrong it was # 44 to her credit!! She also was shortcut in 8 very best finalists in excellent quality FCI 8 group, that was judged by Guy Spagnolo, Australia!! Our Breeders class got a lovely critique and was BOB. It was also lovely to notice that also the young Sophie seemed to enjoy a lot in great final ring and i'ts music + spotlights, leading our breeders group running so happily and proudly there

Three of 4 Fin Winner titles went to Adamant's ESS: Let Me See, Dreams Are Free and Golden Boy.
Also Blowing Free is Finnish winner; FinJW-03, FinW-03!

Critique of our breedersclass:
"Excellent breed specimen from 4 different combinations. Team is decorated with excellent overall pictures and breed details from junior to veteran. Truly gorgeous group. Heartfelt congratulations for gorgeous breeding work!".
'Sophie's' critique:
"Excellent type and proportions. Beautifull feminine head with excellent expression. Gorgeous topline. Bone in balance with size. Balanced angulations. Gorgeous neck. Already now well filled front assembly.
Moving excellent. Showing and handled well".
Frida's critique:
" Champion bitch of excellent type. Beautiful head and expression. Excellent bone. Excellent muscle condition. Gorgeous body. Excellent angulations and movements. Really beautiful neck and topline. Showing and presented well."

Last but not the least: Adamant's Dreams Are Free won the trophy for TOP SHOW ESS of The Year, now 2. year in row!!! Adamant's Golden Boy took the 2. place on that list, and was then Most winning ESS Male this year!!!
3. place went to Antti Hokkanen's and our co owned import With Touch Holy Moses

'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello has made great results again!
Last weekend he participated again in obedience test and finished new beginners class with great style, winning again 1. prize , 187,5 points with honourprize and took 2. place in his class between border collies. Now he is then TK 1 Adamant's Ivor Novello, congratulations to Hanna again!
Yesterday on Finland's indepence day he participated in group show Tampere, and was placed very well from junior class with exc2 as 3. best male!! Judge was Hannele Jokisilta.

'Popi' Adamant's Blowing Free has got his International Champion title confirmed by FCI, so he is now Int & Fin & Est Ch, FinJW-03, FinW-03, EstW-06 Adamant's Blowing Free, congratulations to Saila!!

24.11.06
Only couple of shows left here in Finland this year. 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free has again been in strong leading position of 'TOP ESS' almost all year through and seems to be hard to catch anymore.
'Poju' Adamant's Golden Boy has been very sparely shown this year, but in last show he then went to the 2. best placement in TOP ESS 2006 list and is then currently leading male in that list. Our co owned (with Antti Hokkanen) import 'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses was leading couple of first months this year, was holding strongly 2. place until Poju now went forward him.
Frida and Poju pictured above last year in May, when Frida went BIS in Springer Club's Specialty and Poju went Best Male.

Our show girls Frida and Sophie did not have their very best luck with them in last weeks winner show trips. Due to some unluck with Polish trip also to Frida she had unfortunately to stay home from Nordic Winner show in Norway, and Sophie was not entered there, so they were more than full of energy and bounching happiness when I arrived home from my Swedish trip Monday morning; Frida was running some 20 times around the 'ring' in our yard to show me how do show dogs run, with great carriage and attitude and with her tail wagging quicker than ever.
Never mind, we did get super news from Hamar by mobile phone: Adrian aka Adamant's Brilliant Chance had been placed as 2. best male at 10 years age in this prestigious show under Sally Leslie, UK! Later on he continued in big ring and took top placement in hard competition: BIS-3 veteran! So, after counting points, dream came true and he is now TOP VETERAN ALL BREEDS 2006 NORWAY What a great show dog he has been like his another famous brother Onni Adamant's Superman was!
And it is so lovely to see him still in such a great condition, lots of thanks and warm congratulations to owners Stig Kjellevold and Frank Bjerklund, you have done such great job with the dear charming Adrian!

Photo: Hanna Hyypiä

'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello participated in obedience test. He is 10 months old only, but he did great job already now in new beginner's class, and took 178 points/200 and 1. prize, his placement was 3.!!! Looks like our Siiri will get a good competitor soon..! Well done Hanna with Vellu!

Jyväsylä International show was also held this weekend, judge Harri Lehkonen, Adamant's Golden Boy was BOB veteran and 2. best male and thank you all for showing Adamant's breeders group that went BOB.

This beautiful boy travelled over weekend (thank you to all who made his trip possible!) to his new home in Slovakia at kennel z Lovparku, to be owned by Janka Jaskova and co owner. Year 1996 it was born a remarkable litter at kennel z Lovparku, when Finnish bred Ch Rwyn Heaven Can Wait deliverd beautiful litter sired by Multi Ch Adamant's Superman. The influence of this litter has been remarkable over there, this litter gave 5 Champions and the progeny of them produced many many more Champions and these two names are still so often seen in many pedigrees around there, of which also we are proud of. We hope that this little sweet new boy with most attractive characater could give as well something valuable in his new home country and breeding plans in the future.

12.11.06
'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello continues his winning ways. He was shown today 12.11.06 in Valkeala Group show and went to win one more time the junior class with excellent! He was placed as 4. best male. Judge was Kirsi Nieminen
This little "Henry" is still fooling around in the house does try to do his part of giving happiness around himself)

Sophies critique:
"Very pretty junior. Lovely head, beautifull neck & topline. Excellent front. Good spring of rib.
Excellent croup & tailset. Lovely bone, feet and balance. Excellent mover"

We spent a nice weekend in Seinäjoki, and participated in International All Breed show 5.11.06
ESS judge was Leif Herman Willberg from Norway.
Our "baby star" Sophie, 11 months, charmed again the judge and went to win another Best of Breed and CC to her credit! Even if she did some baby jumps in the big ring, and even if her mummy handler went "little bit" wrong way, when asked to move towards the corner, she managed to take honourable BIG-4 placement among well known stars in their full bloom. Group judge was well known Per Iversen from Norway
I dont remember if any other ESS in Finland since A Superman times has been placed in Int Show group as so young.
'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello did also really well, winning another CC and 2. best male!!! He is a pleasure to show, allways so happy boy. Big congratulations to Hanna, the proud owner!
Also 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free did well, even if beaten by Sophie..she took one more CACIB to her credit and was best bitch-2. Our breedersclass was BOB

..more news from Spaniel club main show to follow... in the mean time to mention the little Sophie, who again went to win her class with a critique:
"Beautiful head and expression. Excellent breed type. Top quality with a lovely outline and excellent balance. Well constructed throughout. Very sound postive movement. In Excellent coat and show condition"
Her mummy is certainly proud of her!

Veera and Siiri made their debut in Special Winner class obedience (highest class) 14.10. Nearly everything went extremely well, and the result was that Siiri aka Adamant's Sweet Dream is The Obedience Champion 2006 of Spaniel Club!!! It is a long time ago since any ESS took this award, and we of course hope that Siiri will finish her Obed Ch title soon..it is gone nearly 10 years from latest Obed Ch for ESS in Finland, so there is a challenge. Points were 217 and prize 3, Judge was Markku Santamäki.

Photo: Frank Bjerklund

Lots of congratulations to kennel Westaway for the lovely 'Adrian's' big win last weekend!!!
'Arian' aka Adamant's Brilliant Chance, ten years, participated in Kongsberg International All Breed show weekend 7-8.10.06 in Norway, and went 2. best male!! and BOB and Best in Show veteran!!!
Breed judge was Patric Ragnarsson, Sweden and BIS veteran judge Svein Helgesen, Norway.

Photo: Hanna Hyypiä

Rita Reyniers from Belgium judged ESS in Oulu International show 7.10.06.
We had a nice weekend there, and the best success went to youngest one, 'Vellu' Adamant's Ivor Novello made a great debute in junior classes winning straight away his first CC!! Lots of congratulations to proud owner Hanna Hyypiä! Vellu was 3. best male, the old veteran boy Adamant's Golden Boy was 4. best male and BOB veteran. Our little sweet Sophie Adamant's Let Me See enjoyed again her time in show and ring and was again highly placed as 2. best bitch with res CC, beating now first time 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free who was 3. best bith with res CACIB. Our breeders group was BOB.

Our little lovely cuties Myytti and Nyytti moved to their new homes.
We follow their life closely even if they live in a very long distance form each other.
Myytti Adamant's Rumours Oh No will be living with Mikla Lindroth close to us.
Nyytti Adamant's Rumours No More went long way to Republic of South Africa and will be loved in bits by her new family Charmaine and Camille Burger. We wish both these lovely puppies all the best for the future and we have already been very well updated about how happy life they have in their new homes.

Show trip to Eckerö International show by boat to the Åland island went so smoothly and perfectly..till it was time for ESS judging in the ring. Just a couple of minutes before the first ESS went in to ring my back suddenly 'signed off'. Kindest thanks for them, who helped so that I somehow after all was able to show our girls in breed ring though, even if not too well or comfortable. 'Frida' took one more CACIB and Best of Breed, 'Sophie' took her 2. CC in her 2. show!, judge was Nils Molin from Sweden. Thank you Mariann for showing Frida in BIG ring, judge there was Edwina Thomas from South Africa and Frida was showing so happily.
It was such a nice trip, even if it was filled with pain when coming back home.

We did knew our pride and joy 'Sophie' Adamant's Let Me See has got 'that something special'... but who could expect one can win Best in Show in her first official show at tender age of 9 months?!

Sophie managed to do this miracle in Hyvinkää Group show held 17.9.06, the show was for FCI groups 7, 8, and 1, and had an entry of about 750 dogs! Sophie was performing like the old good Onni used to perform, happily and with great enthustiasm to run..and she charmed breed judge, group judge and finally BIS judge too! Breed judge Marjo Jaakkola, Fin, Group Rui Oliveira, Portugal, and BIS Raiko Rottner, Slovenia. So, Sophie took her first CC, first BOB, first Group-1 and first BIS! Day to remember!
Congratulations also to Sophie's big brother in Italy, 'Wagner' aka Adamant's Wonderman, who took another Best of Breed in Monza same day!

Sophie's first official critique:
"Lovely 9 months old junior bitch. Excellent head, beautiful expression. Beautiful neck and topline. Very good forechest for her age. Good bone and feet. Excellent body. Balanced angulations. Moves with excellent breed typical step. Beautiful junior, who certainly has a great future in front of her. Beautiful outlines. Excellent temperament"

14.9.06 it is 30 years today since the very first ESS litter was born at Adamant's. In the first litter 'Hulda' Int Ch Fin Ch Adamant's Chocolate Dream was born, she later went to Sweden to be foundation bitch of kennel Rowntree
She meant a lot for our breeding also, and her name is widely spread in Top winning ESS pedigrees around Scandinavia and other countries too. Still remember clear the moment when she was born and thought she will be something special..and she really was.
30 years within the breed has been a great adventure with lots of memorable moments and crowded with dear memories of English Springers we have got a pleasure to own along the way. Looking much forward what does the next 30 years give within this lovely breed!
Thank you everyone who have been with this giving the courage and support when needed and sharing the gladness about all the good that has happened!

Adamant's Wheels On Fire had his eyes checked, clear, and his hips x rayed, so he is number 12. in row from our breeding to get best possible hip result, A-A.

Vellu 'Adamant's Ivor Novello was BOS puppy in Porvoo show 9.9.06

4-6.8.06 we spent the last weekend of my holiday in lovely sunshine in Kuopio 3 x All breed shows.
It was a nice succesfull weekend with friends and lots of laugh and fun. Thank you everyone concerned, especially young talent handlers who 'waked' Frida up despite of the 'boring' hotness that she doesnt allways like that much..it was a pleasure to see her on such fresh happy sparkling mood, when we changed handlers from her boring mummy to Antti and Sanna. Frida won bitches each day, and on Sunday she was even BOB and made a shortcut in 6 best Group finalists!! It was the magic 40. BOB win to Frida!
There was judge change in two first days, and judges were Ove Germundsson, Gert Christensen, Kirsi Nieminen. We showed breeders class in both International shows and had BOB breedersclass each day. Because of so hot weather we did not show the group in final on Sunday. The old good 'Poju' Adamant's Golden Boy was shown on Saturday and Sunday, and was BD-4 and BD-2 and BOB veteran both days, and was even BIS-2 veteran on Sunday under Kari Järvinen!
'Madde' Adamant's Royal Stories did well every day and took one more CC and res CC to her credit.
The little Sophie was 2x BOB puppy and 1 x BOS puppy showing so happily every day.
Also 'Hilma' Adamant's Isabel Duncan made her debut and was 2. best bitch puppy with honourprize.
'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses was shown on Saturday and Sunday, BD-3 both days.
Becoming sire of our next litter, Rindi's Pablo Picasso, did very well each day and finished also his Champion title, huge congratulations to Jaana!

'Ida' Adamant's Ida Lupino 7,5 months visited us and we took a picture of course.

I visited Adamant's World Premiere home and checked her tummy and she seems to be definitely pregnant.

We now have two lovely girl puppies!! 'Smoogey' Adamant's Unique Print decided to arrange a short efficient show about how easily delivery can happen! While we were having dinner guests, Smoogey suddenly waked up from peaceful good sleep and begun to arrange bed for the puppies. There was a quick organisation by boys to catch puppy pen ready from outside, and within 15 minutes it was filled with two beautiful girl puppies. Guests were more than impressed of course and said they'll never forget this dinner at Mustjoki farm!

The proud sire is TOP ESS UK 2004, 2005 Mompesson Royal Destiny. Pics of puppies coming hopefully later today

Adamant's Golden Boy went to win BIS-4 veteran placement

Another lovely show day in all sunshine!
It was an all breed show in Helsinki 15-16.7.06 and judge for ESS was Dolores Dinneen, Ireland, BIS breeders class Derek Hyde, Australia and BIS veteran Gerry Hickey, Ireland. Our team was in good show mood despite of the hot sun and despite of the fact that Frida the greedy one did manage again to do her stealing tricks before the show. Frida Adamant's Dreams Are Free went to win bitches again and was BOS. The little Sophie Adamant's Let Me See went BOB puppy. Poju Adamant's Golden Boy went BM-2 and BOB veteran and later BIS-4 veteran! Our talent 'Siiri' Adamant's Sweet Dreams who has concentrated more on Obedience and tracking etc (gaining top results there..) was entered to try to catch her last ticket and she did it! She was 3. best bitch with CC, and now she needs to be entered in hunting ability test to catch the Fin Champion title. Our breeders class finished the nice day winning BIS-2 in final ring!
Thank you everyone who helped us with handling dogs!
If anyone took pics of our breedersclass or dogs or in final ring, we would be grateful to get some

Veera with 'Siiri' Adamant's Sweet Dreams made a kind of 'miracle' in Obedience Championship 2006 team competition. In really hot weather Siiri did it all through very well and was placed amazingly highly as 3. best of Winner class out of 64 competitors!! Siiri took 1. prize and so she moves in to Special Winner class, where you need 3 1. prizes for to gain Ob Champion title. It had gone 6 years from last 1. prize to any ESS in this country in Winner class, and it has gone 8 years when the latest Obed Ch was made up in this breed, so lets hope Siiri continues well further

Adamant's Royal Stories has won her 15. CC and even Best of Breed under Canadian judge in Ulvila All Breed show. Well done Sanna with madde again!!

Some healthy results:
Adamant's Wild and Free has had her hips checked and even she had best possible A-A hips, so she is # 11 in row of our bred ESS to have best possible hips, and # 10 with healthy hips out of 10 x rayed hips of her mother Adamant's Summer Fantasy (whose progeny has so far 9 x AA result, 1x BB). Also her eyes were checked clear, like also Adamant's Royal Stories and Adamant's World Premiere's were clear.

What a great show weekend 17-18.6.06!!

Our silly queen, 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free was so fit and beautiful when I came from job Friday afternoon...few hours later that all fitness was gone, since she had stolen 1,7 kilos dry dog food! When also weather prognosis for weekend was soo hot, there was not much hopes for great successes to our 'pig'. One night did help a little, but just a little; we arrived at show place in Tuuri to see it is so very hot, no wind or so. Frida looked nothing could interest less than take a round in ring, so she went it like sailing it on half speed. Never mind, she took her 38. Best of Breed! 'Smoogey' Adamant's Unique Print went 2. best bitch and finished her Fin Champion title straight after she had had her 2 year birthday! Adamant's Golden Boy was also a bit slack of all that sun, but did well as being 2. best male and later he went BIS-2 veteran!! We did not have high hopes for group placement with Frida, but she really amazed her mum running enough for BIG-4 placement!!! Our breeders class went BIS-4.

Next day Frida did look about like normally and was looking fresh and happy..and hungry!..after all, and took a lovely critique in breed ring with her 39. Best of Breed, that is a record for ESS bitches in Finland!
The last round in hot BIG ring was then little bit too much, and she was placed at honourable BIG-2 placement. Quite a girl she is!
'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses won one more time males and ended as BOS, getting a lovely critique
Judge in Tuuri All breeds was Jorma Silta, Rune Fagerstöm in Group, and in Forssa Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen both in Breed and Group.

Photo: Sanna Kavèn

We were back showing again and now in one of favourite shows, Lahti International All breeds show, now held 22-23.4.06
ESS judge was Hans Lehtinen, so there was something 'extra' excitement and interest in the air to get critiques for entered dogs.
Our team did great, even if two girls were too fat for show ring and were not shown this time. Our food stealer Saara had been catched few times her head in the freezer (yes she do can open it herself!) so she had to be home. This time our pride and joy 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free had not stealed anything extra to eat herself in a week, so she was on top show mood and also coat back in nice condition, so she was a pleasure to show and she went to our big pleasure as far as BOB (her #35!), CACIB and was even shortcut in 6 finalists in Group! 'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses was again BOS with one more CACIB to his credit!

'Madde' and 'Mette', Adamant's Royal Stories and Adamant's Royal Romance took also Excellents and Madde even Res CC. Old good 'Poju' Adamant's Golden Boy was among those 3 males, who got Excellents and he was BOB veteran as well and made a shortcut in BIS veteran final too. Our Breeders class went BOB, but we did not show it in final.

Absolute 'icing on the cake' was to see some of our future hopes there having fun in all crowd!
We met A. Let 'Em Talk, A. La Dolce Vita, A. Isabel Duncan, A. Ivor Novello and also little 'Sophie' A. Let Me see was fooling around having fun. Unfortunately we did not find the boy 'Vellu' when we were taking pics, but here are the future girls!

Next day one of these future girls went to try how does it feel to run around ring in real show then.
We went to unofficial 'match show' and to cut it all short: her show attitude is just like Superman had, so let me see how does this story will continue..
Sophies (aka Adamant's Let Me See) debut was then now BIS puppy and BIS-4 from all entered.

All puppy photos pictured by Antti Hokkanen, who co owns the lovely 'Pamela' Adamant's Let 'Em Talk. Puppies are here nearly 5 monhts, except Isabel Duncan two weeks younger

Last but not least new is that Adamant's Sweet Fantasy got her first CC + BB-2 in a group show, huge congratulations to Marja Arpiainen!
